result of the division of Cyprus, unanimously declared:
1. A speedy and just settlement of the Cyprus problem will be to the interest
of the Working Class and of all Cypriots.

Democratic system, the high level agreements and the relevant resolutions
of the United Nations Organisation.
3. They firmly believe that the settlement of the Cyprus problem must fully
safeguard human and trade union rights as these are defined in the
various Conventions of the International Labour Organisation and other
world organisations.
4. They believe that in order to acchieve the above the following must be
safeguarded in the future Federal State:
a. one type system of employment and Labour relations

d. complete safeguarding of the right of freedom of movement and
freedom of choice of employer in any part of Cyprus coupled with
entrenched righ of freedom of organisation.

in connection with ethnic origin, religion, colour or sex.
The Trade Unions declare their firm belief that it will be to the interest of all
Cypriots if the settlement of the Cyprus problem aims at establishment of a
unitary economy opposing any form of discrimination. All citizens of Federal
State of Cyprus must enjoy equal rights and must carry equal responsibilities.
The Trade Unions believe that the Working Class of Cyprus as a whole will
be quaranteed better prospects of welfare, economic and cultural growth if the
above are safequarded in a Cyprus settlement.
The Trade Unions of Cyprus decide to extend their contacts and
cooperation on a systematic way with a view to achieving the above objectives.
The Trade Unions also call on other professional organisations of Cyprus
as well as the political parties to develop relations between them avoiding
activities which encourage chauvinism, so that promotion will be helped of
